The Noise Mapping England
project is the first stage in the development of a National Ambient
Noise Strategy for England. The project aims to establish the
environmental noise climate across England. Defra (Department for
Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) has now launched the London Road
Traffic Noise Map, which is fundamental to the Noise Mapping England
project. Once you visit this site and check out your local noise level
(London only for now), remember this is a calculation based on road use
only. It does not take into consideration any other sources of noise
such as aircraft.
NOTRAG (No Third Runway Action Group)
is an alliance of residents associations from the Heathrow area who oppose
any further expansion at Heathrow Airport outside its present boundaries.

Framework Archaeology is a joint
venture of Wessex Archaeology and Oxford Archaeology set up to work at BAA
airports. It is carrying out excavations at Heathrow Terminal 5.
Harmondsworth Hall is a guest house in the village of
Harmondsworth. They host a web forum on the subject of travel to and
from Heathrow Airport to other locations and hope this forum can be used
as a place for debate on the proposed third runway.
